Who is John Lewis and what impact did he make? |
On March 7, 1965, John lewis, 25 years old and Rev. Hosea Williams lead out on a 52 mile march through Alabama from Selma to Montgomery. This march was to protest the discrimination of African Americans preventing those citizens from voting. John Lewis has dedicated his life to protecting human rights, securing civil liberties, and building what he calls "The Beloved Community” in America.
